Hella missions..

Dray woke up quite early this morning, before even his alarm would ring or before the rays of the morning sun would peek in through his slightly opened windows. Dray sat up in bed and knew exactly what he had planned for the day. Office work was taking a hard toil on him so he just had to take a day off. A day off from office not a day off from the shinobi work that he was sworn to. He reached for the scroll on top of his bed side drawer to his right as he opened it. The scroll contained a list of missions that needed to be completed and dray was actually going to complete them. Perhaps, a little field work was what he needed to get himself together. Sitting in an office and doing paper work wasn’t helping at all. Dray got up from his bed and walked into the bathroom to have a nice shower. He was quickly done with it as he changed into some clothes. He needed not dress too much because he was actually going on a mission. He picked up the scroll and another envelope that he kept in his pocket and his strapped his ninja pouch to his waist as he walked out of his room and out of his home.
Upon getting into the streets, dray found a quiet corner and performed the transformation technique, making himself look like a young chunin boy. Taking these missions as a joutenkage probably wont help matter and besides in this form, he could get more information than he would in his normal self so dray set out to work. The first mission was seeing some academy students to the pool. Dray had once being a student of the academy though not in amagakure but he knew how troublesome students of the academy could be, always wanting to show off their little skills. Dray picked up his pace as he got to the academy pretty quick due to his speed which was more than that of an average chunin. Dray met with the academy teachers and explained to them that he was taking the mission. The teachers thanked him and they all started the trip towards the pool. Dray made sure that his eyes was moving all around, checking on all the students till they got to the pool. Upon getting there, a roll call was done and the students began swimming. Each taking his own lap as dray watched those in the water gently and those not in the water so they would not damage anything.
The exercise did not take much time as the students dressed up once again and were escorted back to the academy by their teacher and dray. The mission was completed easily.

Dray brought out his little pen as he ticked the first mission as completed. He read the second mission as he headed towards the location. A store owner has been complaining about his new employees quitting their jobs very quickly so dray is to work as an undercover agent, posing as a cashier and find out what exactly is the problem. Easy enough. Dray ran over to the store. He needed to be quick as there was many more missions to be done. Dray got to the store and introduced himself to the store owner as a shinobi who had applied for the mission. The store owner thanked him and showed him to his post as the cashier. Dray started work in earnest as he did what was expected of a cashier but still keeping his eyes of everything that went on in the store. Dray saw a lady walking towards him with a smile on her face. “So, you’re the new cashier.” “I am” dray replied. “You look handsome” “thank you” dray answered her. Perhaps, this was the time to get some information, dray thought as he set to work. “Besides me, have there been any recent employees?” “Of course not, I am the newest employee here as I just started yesterday..” “Ok, thank you.” Dray said. He had gotten an important piece of information. If anybody was to quit, then it would be the lady so he had to find out why. The lady walked away from dray’s desk as she returned to her own desk which was opposite dray’s table as dray kept an eye on her. Dray looked at the clock and nothing was happening yet. Few hours later, the girl looked at her wrist watch and stood up from her desk as she walked to the back door of the store. Dray stood up calmly not attracting any attention as he followed behind her gently. She walked into a room were new wares were kept as dray followed behind. He hid behind a shelf of wares as a voice came through the darkness. “wont you lock the door..” The lady then walked back to the door and locked it.
The light in the room was dim as dray could see a man in the room. He remembered the shop owner mentioning that he had a store manager but he had not arrived perhaps, this was him. “you asked for me, here I am sir” the girl spoke to the man.. “sir?” dray thought. It had to be him but why would he request for her to come to such a place. There was only one was to find out. Being trained deeply in the arts of shinobi hood, dray moved without making a single sound as he was very close to where the two were and he could see perfectly, hear clearly and he was still very hidden in the shadows. “Yes yes, I asked for you and you will know why.. the reason is simple, beauty like yours cant be ignored.” The man said to the lady as he drew her close to him and touched her buttocks. The young lady moved backwards while trying to head for the door. “If anyone hears of this, consider yourself jobless..” the man said in a fierce voice. “You should consider yourself jobless..” dray said as he came out of his hiding place giving him a soft punch but he was knocked out. Dray sighed as the man fell. “Go call the store owner.” Dray said to the girl as he dragged the man out of the room. Luckily, the store owner was still around the store so the girl called him at once and he came over to where dray was. “What happened to my store keeper?” the store owner asked.. “Apparently, he has been harassing the new employees and threatening to fire them if the tell anyone as I caught him red handed some minutes ago…” The store keeper woke up while rubbing his temples.. He managed to stand to his feet but he had nothing to say.. “Thank you young shinobi..” the store owner said and paid dray as dray left the store but he could hear the store owner yelling.. “Your fired!!”

Dray ticked the second mission as done as the third mission could not help but make him smile. How in the world would one lose a shoe without knowing exactly what the shoe looked like. The location was not far from the store as dray crossed the street and met the man sitting under a shade. Dray did not bother asking the man anything, he just asked him where he last saw his shoe and the man replied him saying.. “I was sitting here and wearing it, I slept off due to the cool breeze and when I woke up, I could not find it.. “ Dray nodded as he asked the man of the other shoe. “I hid it here so it wont get lost.” The man said as he showed it to dray. Where in the world could the shoe be? Dray wondered. For the man to have worn it and lost it while sleeping, then something or someone must have taken it. Dray looked around for clue and just then, in the sand, he found paw prints and another print, the size of a shoe. That’s it! A cat most certainly took it. Dray followed the prints till he reached a dark corner. He saw the cat coiled around the shoe and wondered what a cat would need a shoe for. Anyways, he had to get the shoe safely. Dray bought a small bottle of mind from a shop nearby and poured it into a bowl. He placed the bowl before the cat as the cat was reluctant to lick it at first but later, it came forward and began licking the milk as dray rubbed it’s head gently while picking the shoe with his other hand. He let the cat enjoy the milk as he hurried off and brought the shoe to the man who nearly hugged him. The man paid dray some money and hid the shoe where he had hid the first. Such a weird man, dray thought.

The third mission was ticked as dray moved unto the fourth. Now, this was going to be a hell of a mission. Babysitting. Dray looked around, trying to get where the house was. He was there finally as he knocked on the door and was welcomed a young woman. She was beautifully dressed and same with her husband that was sitting in the living room. After dray’s introduction, the woman quickly ran him over on what he was to do. Keeping them safe, making sure their older brother doesn’t pick on the younger two, giving them lunch and making them take a nap. “Understood” dray said as both husband and wife walked out of the house. The three children stared at dray as they continued with their play. “Makes my work much easier” dray said to himself as he sat in a chair and fixed his eyes on the children while looking at the clock constantly. The younger two were very much lively unlike the elderly one who seemed to like playing pranks. “catch those if you can..” dray said to him as he made three ice dragon flies and made them hover around the room keeping the young boy occupied. It was finally time for lunch and dray made sure they ate moderately and after about one hour and some minutes, they took a short nap. The children woke up with sleep on their face as dray said to them.. “why don’t we go to the park.” The children’s face lit up as dray walked them out of the house while carrying the smallest baby of his shoulders. He locked the door as they walked to the park with was only five minutes walk away. They got to the park and dray left them to play while keeping his eye on them all. He saw the youngest baby walking towards a puddle but he got there on time and redirected the baby. The children had had quite enough fun as dray gathered them up and took them home. Their parents were already back and worried but dray told them that he took them to have fun in the park and the parents could see the happy look on their children’s faces. They paid dray as he left the house.. Another mission he had completed.

The next mission was a request from a carpenter who had lost his planer. He made sure to give an important piece of information that the planer has the village’s ancient symbol carved into it and who better know this symbol other than dray. Dray walked slowly as he began to think. Where could the plane be.. People losing stuff here and there was annoying but dray had taken up the mission and he had no other choice than to find it. He ran to the carpenter’s shop and asked him a few questions that could help him determine where the plane was but no answers where helpful. “Don’t you have anybody that comes here too often and you suspect might have taken the plane?” because dray knew how beautiful the village’s symbol was and the plane was worth stealing for that.. “Apart from my customers, no friends really visit me except a cat that sits over there and looks at me everyday while I work..” “A cat you say..” Fortunately, dray happened to know a cat who keeps things perhaps he should pay his cat friend a visit. Before getting to the cat’s corner, dray made sure to buy a bottle of milk knowing the cat would not release it easily if he had it but dray was surprised upon getting there. Now, there was more than one cat meaning that one bottle of milk was not enough. Dray ran off to get to more bottle as he poured the milk into a large bowl. The cats came speedily and started licking the milk as dray saw the plane clearly. He rubbed the cats as they meowed softly while he carefully picked the plane and left before their milk was finished. Dray returned to the carpenter and handed him his plane.. “Beware of cats” dray said as he received his pay and left..

Five missions completed and dray still had more missions to complete. He ticked the fifth mission on the scroll as done as he read the sixth to himself. He was to help fix a shop that was damaged by fire. That should not be much of a work. If it was strength, he could not argue that he possessed it. He headed over to the shop cutting right across two streets and there it was. The shop had probably been damaged by fire in the early hours of morning as the smoke was just dying down. Dray walked into the shop and met the owner. The woman seemed to be in tears but what was done was done. The only thing left was for the shop to be fixed and dray was here to do just that. He got to work as he picked up a mop stick and started mopping the little waters that were around. The water was so much that it seemed those who extinguished the fire put in too much efforts. Dray managed to mop most of the water but there seemed to be no end to it. Some other servant came over to mop the water as dray was sent to pack up the ashes and dirt and throw them outside. Dray went at once and started emptying out the dirt. This did not give him much trouble as he packed all the dirt in one large box and had it emptied out. “There’s something better for you to do not just emptying out dirt and mopping water” the owner came and said to dray. He was taken to a room where he was shown some damaged machines. “You will help me move this to the street so the repairman can pick it up and fix it.” “Aye” dray said as the woman left the room. Dray walked over to the machines as he lifted one up. They seemed heavy but not too much for dray to handle. Dray carried the first machine and walked out all the way to the street before dropping it where it would be required. Dray went back into the shop and carried the second machine to the street and the third before fixing other things required of him in the shop. “I am done here” dray said to the owner. “Thank You.” The woman said as she paid dray the money for his help. He had been a real help to her.

Dray would move on to the next mission after ticking the sixth as done. Now, this seventh mission was something to smirk about. A certain female had reported her lover that he was cheating on her so it was up to dray to teach him that cheating was bad. Some fun this mission had to it. Dray set off to look for the cheater but first he had to find the lady who had reported him. Dray ran over to her house as fast as he could. He had some more mission to complete and he was not going to waste his precious time on this one. Dray got to the house and knocked on the door. The formalities were rushed as the lady nodded and handed dray a picture of the cheater and where to find the lady he’s cheating on her with. “aye” dray said as he left the house after knowing where he could find them. Dray ran on a straight path and then he took left and right turns before coming to the exact alley way that the young lady had described. “he’s always there with her by this time” dray recalled the young lady telling him. Dray walked into the alley way and went further into it. The end and the darkest part was where he was going to. A lady’s moan gave away their location as dray put on his light feet and walked to where they were. Dray saw a young man smooching a young lady to the wall as she moaned. “Hello mister” dray said as the young man turned around. His face matched that in the picture so dray had found his target.. “you know cheating is bad?” dray said to him as the young man came at dray hoping to punch his face for interrupting but dray ducked as the young man looked drunk and was slow in his movement.. “you, leave here and never see this man again or his wife will have your head..” dray said to the lady as sheran off frightfully. Now it was time to teach this young man some lessons. Just a few hits and the man was already dead.. “cheat on your wife again and you’ll lose some of your teeth..” dray said as he left the man in the alley way. That went pretty well, he thought to himself as he headed to the woman’s house to receive his pay as he had completed the mission.

Now, this next mission was to make a person pay. The young man in question is said to belong to a local loan shark and he has refused to make payments so it was up to dray to make him pay. Sounds fair. Dray headed for the house of the man in question. He had the money but had refused to pay. Now, what sort of person was that or what attitude did he have.. the only explanation was that he was greedy and he needed someone to teach him how not to be greedy and this someone was dray. The man’s house seemed to be a bit far but dray was getting closer as the day was passing fast. The man house was only a few inches further and dray had finally come to it. He knocked on the door as the man answered in and let him come in.. “Hello” dray said to the man as the man responded and offered dray to sit. Why such a nice man would refuse in paying was very strange to dray. Anyway, he was going to find out what was going to happen. “Let’s get straight to the point. I was sent by the local loan shark because you have refused to pay up. Why is that?” Dray asked the man. “I would have paid but I have other things to use the money for you see.” The man said calmly. So he was greedy, dray concluded. “am sorry I don’t know what important things you need the money for but I am here to collect the money and I would.” Dray would say to the man while bringing out a kunai and sticking it in the table between them. The thud from the strike made the man shake as he began stammering.. “but.. but.. I need” dray brought out two senbons as he threw them so carefully that the tore the man’s clothes around his shoulders. “Ok. Ok.. here it is” the man said as he reached for the drawer beneath the table and handed dray a wad of cash. Dray counted it to make sure it was complete. “thank you for your time, pay up next time or it wont be this easy” dray said as he left the house to report to his client and receive his pay.

Dray ticked the pay up mission as done as he moved on to the next. It was a mail delivery and he now knew why he had the envelope. He was to deliver three letters to three villagers across the village, Lee, Yen and Kei. Dray set on his journey as he ran at his fastest speed. He was too fast for a chuunin but of course, he was no true chuunin. Dray ran on the ground, jumped from roof tops to roof tops, hopped from tree to tree all the way across the village. Dray had to deliver this letter and he knew that the people he was delivering them to must have been expecting it a long time. Dray was not tempted to open the letter s o he was focused on his mission. Dray got to his destination as he knocked on the first house which was Lees’. “Hello, you must be Lee and I have your letter.” Dray said while reaching for the envelope and handing Lee his letter. Dray moved on to the next house and knocked on the door as a young light skinned female appeared. “You must be Yen and I have a letter for you.” Dray said while handing her a letter with her name on it. The last house which was Kei’s house, dray knocked and was met by an older woman. “Good afternoon, I need to see kei. I have something for him.” Dray said as the old woman nodded and called .. “Kei.. kei.. someone to see you.” “I’ll be right there” a voice from inside said as the woman went back inside and Kei showed up. “Hello and how may I help you?” kei asked dray. “I have a letter for you” dray said as he handed Kei a letter.. “I have been expecting this for a while now. Thank you very much..” Kei said as he walked into his house.. Dray sighed as he left the area. Just a few more missions and he was done for the day. He did hope that he could complete all the missions today.

Dray ticked the ninth mission as completed and upon looking at the details of the tenth mission, he stopped and face palmed while laughing like a regular chunin and drawing no attention to himself. What is it with cats this days.. it like they have developed a mind of their own, he wondered . He was to find and bring back the cat of one rich woman. Good thing the woman had an idea of where it could be found. Lucky for dray, he was at the village’s extremes so searching for the cat would not be a problem. Dray thought of buying a bottle of milk to give to the cat but he could not afford to lose more money neither could he tell if the cat would like it so it was better to be safe than sorry. Dray walked the streets while looking high and low, dark places and places that had light. Where in the world could a cat have hidden.. and just above dray’s head, in a tree was a cat taking a nice nap. Very well, it was time for this cat to go home. Dray climbed the tree from behind and so softly that he did not wake that cat up. He grabbed from it’s stomach and held it to his chest as the cat meowed loudly and struggled to get away from dray. Dray’s eyes widened as he saw the claws of the cat. It was a good thing that he was not at the receiving end of those of he would have been covered in bruises. Dray came down from the tree and did not waste another minute in running over to the woman and handing over her “lovely” cat.

Dray had successfully handed over the cat to the short and puffy old Mrs. Chiasa and he had ticked the mission on his scroll as done and he was on the next mission now. He was to deliver a package to someone named Hiro. He was not told the contents of the package, he was only warned to be careful. Dray had received the package upon getting to the clients house and right now, he was headed to Hiro’s home which was a few streets away but dray had to cross busy streets and this meant that he could get hit by some people and the package could fall and get damaged. Dray now understood the risk of this mission as he stopped to think. What could he do.. Well, the streets might be busy but the roof tops aren’t. He had enough strength to carry the package with ease so he jumped unto the roof top and started jumping from roof tops to roof tops. It was fun but he had to be careful. Suddenly, his leg stepped on a fragile spot on a roof top and if he removed his leg, it would go right into the roof and the package was still in his hand. Dray quickly made a bushin and handed him the package as he removed his leg carefully without damaging the roof and he continued his journey to Hiro’s house. Dray knocked and was welcomed by a servant and ushered in. Dray met hiro and delivered the package to him safely. “Thank you” the man said as dray took his leave.

The next mission was a good one. Dray had to help a young academy student with training a specialization. That was easy and it was fun teaching someone too. The house was not too far off as it was just around the corner. Dray liked the line up of the missions. Their locations all seemed chained to each other and that had helped him a great deal. Dray got to the house and judging from the look of the house, the owners had a good amount of money if dray was not mistaken. Anyway, he was here to teach and not to admire so he knocked on the door and was allowed to come in. He met with the parents of the boy who had requested a shinobi for their son and he informed them that he was the shinobi for the mission. They walked dray to the backward where the young boy was sitting under a tree. “You can leave us now..” Dray said to the young boy’s parents as they left. Dray walked up to the boy and cleared his throat. “Hello and how can I help you” the boy said to dray. “that is very polite but am afraid, I will be the one to help you” dray said to the young body. “how?” the boy then replied.. Dray looked up and looked at the boy. He jumped up and brought down a branch of the tree with a single strike of his hand. The boy gasped as he stood to his feet. “teach me..” “very well” dray said as they began the training. Dray was to teach the young boy taijutsu. He made him go through several exercises, pull ups, push ups, sprinting and the likes of them. He taught him the fighting stance and how to throw a blow and dodge a blow. In the end, dray sparred with the young boy and saw quick improvements.. “Go on like this and you’ll make a better fighter” dray told the boy as he left him to train alone.

Twelve solid missions done and dray had to complete only a few more and be done with the day’s work. He was to find a lost pet this time. Not wasting anymore time, dray headed over to the house of the pet owner. A young girl she was, having a cute face but now, a sad one due to the pet she lost. She had said that she opened her window and the pet escaped probably to find some fun. Anyway, dray had to find the pet so he began searching the insides of the house. Where could the pet have hidden if it was in the house. Since the pet was hardly taken outside, dray believed it could not have left the house to go anywhere so it was definitely still in the house. Dray started searching under the chairs, behind the luggage, in the kitchen, in the bedroom. Still, dray could not find the pet. Just then, an idea struck him. Where could a bird have gone to? Only if there was a garden around but there was none but there was still somewhere to check. Flower pots! Dray began looking in thee flower pots, one after the other and he just happened to find the white little bird with a pink ribbon nesting in a flower pot with beautiful flowers. “Come over here, little lady” dray called Anise over and showed her where her pet was.. “Thank you, young sir. I’ll always bring kiki here then since she like it here.” Dray nodded and left the house.

The next mission was from a client who lived just opposite to Anise’s house. The client is an elderly woman who had recently fired her servant from stealing from her and now, the old woman needs some work done and she has ryo to pay to whoever helps her out. Dray to the rescue.. Dray crossed the street and knocked on the door of the house. The old woman answered him and dray introduced himself as the shinobi here to help her. She showed him in and gave him a short list of things that needed to be done for her. Dray set to work immediately as he made four bushins and each one grabbed a broom stick. Dray and all his bushins swept the house and mopped each after which each one grabbed a bucket of water under dray’s command and a piece of rag. As some washed the windows with soapy water, others cleaned it with clean water. Dray and his clones went around the house, cleaning here and there, fixing what needed to be fixed and putting every thing in order. When dray was done, he dispersed the bushins and let the old woman, Lea was done. The smile on her face made dray happy because he had done more than she had expected. She paid him some ryo and he took his leave.

Dray ticked the market mission as done and looked at the last mission on the scroll. He had hoped that he would go home after this but he was mistaken. He looked at the sky and it was evening already. The sun was setting but that did not really matter, no sleep for him today. There has been some break ins in the local market and the merchants are reaching out for help so dray was to do night time guard duty and ensure that the market products remain safe. Dray walked back to the market as he was only few metres away from it. It was getting dark now, just in time for his duty. He met with the head of the merchants and told him that he was taking the night guard duty. Night fell and dray began his watch. He was not one that loved sleep that much so staying awake over night was not going to be much of a problem for him. Dray guarded the market through the night and nothing suspicious happened. In the morning, the merchants came to check their goods and it was all intact. They payed dray some money and he left the market. Dray left speedily and headed home. He hopped from tree to tree and from one roof top to the other. He finally got home and entered into his room as he crashed on his bed. The transformation technique had taken quite a toll on his chakra as he transformed back to his normal self. That was some load of missions he had completed. Less work for the young shinobis now, he guessed as decided to take a little nap before going to his office. He was sure he had enough paper work due to not going to the office the previous day.
