Missions of Bankai (closed)

mission:

The sun was shining and the weather is sweet as Bankai boarded a large vehicle to transport these kids to the pool this day. It was fairly simple enough to him. Bankai was familiar with children with his nieces and nephews that used to run around all over the sanctuary. He always liked to see children happy because for some reason, when children in a society was not happy, he felt as if that society, its very future was doomed. They soon enough arrived at the place of where the pool was and all the kids were very noisy as they began changing their clothes into swimming gear and most of them jumped into the pool. Bankai brought a whistle that he blew like a true life guard of sorts. He felt really different doing this mission because it was more challenging to his patience than anything else. There was this group of three young boys who was lurking around the place and taking their clothes and hiding them and Bankai noticed this. He grabbed one of them and looked into his eyes.

"Stop it. Or else." said Bankai. and the little boy looked down at his friends who were too scared to run and then looked at Bankai again and nodded as he started to cry. Bankai then let the little boy down and went on his way. Apart from that the kids were in good behavior. This had to be the easiest mission ever.

D ranked mission:

"Oh my goodness! So glad you can make it young man. I lost my plane and its so useful to me I wanted you to find it for me." asked the old man.

"Do not worry sir, if you do not get it back I will buy you one myself." said Bankai calmly.

"No you dont understand, this one has been my gran pappy's and its been in the family since then. It has sentimental value son. You know what that is?"

"Yes sir I do. I will get it for you. When was the last time you saw it?"

"I saw it maybe around this morning when I went to get the morning paper at the coffee shop down the street."

"Did you check there to see if its still there?"

"No sonny I didnt."

"Does it have anything special about it?"

"Sure. There is the village mark on it, on its side. you cant miss it."

And with that Bankai left where the old man was and went straight for the coffee shop and sure enough he saw it there right on a stool. No doubt the old man left it there while he was drinking his morning coffee and reading his paper and sure enough there was also the vilage logo on there so Bankai brought it for the old man but as he held it, he found that for some reason it didnt feel sturdy. He looked it over good and realised a screw was loose in the handle and took out his kunair and used it like a screw driver and tightened the screw for the old man and handed it to him and left.

D ranked mission 280 words = 280 ryou

mission:

Fire, its destructive power has claimed another inanimate object. This time was the business place of someone who his servants would come to buy from for him. All he could see on the inside was soot and ash and more soot. Bankai could see the misery on the man's face. All his hard work gone up in flames. Bankai had money to burn and he decided that he would send this man an anonymous gift soon. Bankai began taking out the machinery and placing them to the outside for pick up. He then took a vacuum and started sucking out first the water out of the building and then he sucked out the dust from it. He then took a shovel and started shoveling the debris out of the bakery and placing it outside also for pick up. When the work was done, he sat next to the owner on the side walk to speak to him.

"Do not worry this is all going to settle out." he said reassuringly.

The man simply looked at Bankai, still traumatized by the incident. "I have worked at this bakery all my life. It was the one thing that had memories of my late wife and now it is gone.

"All I could tell you is that your memories of her will never fade no matter what happens in the physical world."

The man believed him and cheered up a bit. Bankai also took his leave.

D ranked misson complete. 243 words = 243 ryou

B ranked mission:

He found in on his bed one morning after he came back from his training routine. It was in a brown card board box and sealed off with see through tape and had a note simply saying his name 'Bankai'. It was typed too and looked totally professional. So he sat on his bed and took out his kunai knife and cut the tape and peeled it off the box and opened the lid. Inside it and he took out a wig, a sunglasses and a false nose that it was clearly too big for his face. Underneath all that was a robe, dark green in color and hooded, no doubt to hide his body. He still could not believe they would give him such a ridiculous disguise, it was truly beneath him. With true determination to get this mission done, he put on the robe and placed the test of the disguise within the inner pockets of his robs and left his room. He took all of his gear and headed out. Namely his only weapons were some kunai, shuriken, his massive cleaver and clipped it onto his back and of course his jutsu. He had trained like a monster and knew that this time, he would no be taking a back seat like the last time and only relying on his wits and his sword. Those days were over for now at least.

At that same time two men of ANBU origin plotted and devised of a plan to dispatch whoever it was that was carrying the documents that they wanted.

"So, do we know what kind of people are escorting the documents?" asked ANBU 1

"We are not sure. We did not get the details. All I know is from experience that at least one really strong person will be guarding that document. But we are ANBU after all. Whoever it is, they will be in for one hell of a fight."

And with that the two left their underground lair and went to the surface. They had information of where Bankai would be dropping off his document and would be intercepting him there. Something that Bankai had no clue about. As he arrived at the drop off point, they wasted no time to show themselves. He too wasted no time and drew his massive sword from his back and beckoned them to come. And they did with a set of hooks and and slashes. Bankai at once noticed that this is going to be pointless as he swung hard with a pivot of his body and slashed deep within the body of one of his attackers. He skated back and disappeared in a puff of smoke and a log was cleaved in two where his body should be. He attacked again this time from above and his partner attacked from behind. Their team work was good but not good enough as Bankai unleashed his light from his hands and shot them with shots of light from his hand. When the smoke cleared, he saw nothing but their masks remained from the blast. He went nearby to a safe and deposited the documents there and took his leave.

B ranked mission complete 543 words = 543 ryou

C ranked mission:

Bankai had decided to take yet another mission. He continued on his way down the city streets and into the so called poorer parts of the city. There were tents everywhere that used wooden palettes for flooring. People were weighing things on their scales and there were different aromas all around him from fresh meat to stale vegetables to perfumes to sweat. It made him feel alive with all this diversity all around him. He bought a cheeze pie, something that was never served at where he lived at the Misaki compound. As he munched, he heard someone scream 'thief! theif!" and was he spun around, he saw a middle aged man with a vest and black pants pacing off into the distance. Over his shoulders he had a sack. No doubt this man stole from someone. Who it was who he stole from did not matter. All that matters was that he catch this thief. He also shunshined behind him and soon he was running along side him jumping from rooftop to rooftop as the man had some good running skills. Bankai stuck his foot out and tripped the man and he fell and some clothes lines between buildings broke his fall as he crashed into the ground. Bankai wasted no time as he placed his boot on the man's face.

"Give up and I wont hurt you more." said Bankai as he pressed on the man's face even more.

"Let me up and fight me as a man you clown."

Bankai just had to show this fool who he was dealing with and removed all his gear and took a fighting stance and so did the man. He gave a few feeble punches and kicks which Bankai easily avoided and gave him a chop on his neck with his hand and knocked him out. He then carried the man back to his barracks and turned him in.

A ranked mission:

The party of hunters had been in the woods since morning and they were hunting wild boar. The leader of the group signalled for them to stop at the river bank to take a drink of water and to rest up a bit which the group gladly accepted. As his men began taking off their supply packs and began drinking the crisp clear water, he could not help that he was being watched. As he looked around and realized it was only he that felt that way. He sighed a bit as he too bent down and began drinking from the river. A horrific scream could be heard as the leader to the hunting party looked across from where he was drinking and saw some sort of winged creature that had just decapitated one of his men and his head began floating down the river making him back away from where he was drinking. He simply could not believe what he was seeing as the creature pulled out what looked like a bone kunai from his friend's body and shoved it into another and it dug its claws down in his friend's body and ripped him apart. By that time, it was only the man and one more of his men. And that was when they both decided to run for their lives. But the man thought that the creature had let them go on purpose with the aim no doubt of knowing that his victims would let others know of his existence. When the two men arrived back in the city, they were out of breath and went straight to the command center. They made their complaint and Bankai was the available officer on duty. He listened to their plight and stood there as he listened thoughtfully. When they were done then he decided to speak.

"So this thing killed two of your hunting party. Show me where they were attacked."

And so Bankai followed them towards the lagoon where the mist encircled the forest floor and the banks that surrounded the lagoon. Bankai had already sensed a presence that moved about in the forest around him. Bankai was led to the spot where the attack took place and there was nothing left but some shreds of clothing, and some fingers that were lying in a pool of blood. Bankai's eyes searched through the environment as he continued hearing the sounds of something as if stalking them

"Stay behind me. I think whatever it is that attacked your mates is back to eat us. Do not worry. I am here." he said reassuringly as he took off his massive sword from its place on his back and took a defensive stance.

As the bush parted and a humanoid figure came out of hiding. It was bigger than Bankai and the hunters . It was green with the face of a fly and the claws of a giant lizard. But it seemed intelligent somehow by his movements Bankai could tell. He also felt the nervousness of the hunters who were just about ready to bolt. The creature blinked at Bankai and had weird head movements as it no doubt was looking at them.

"How dare you enter my domain, soldier of Hanagakure. You are not welcomed here and neither are the hunters that you protect." it hissed.

"You sniveling little prick. How dare you come into MY domain and actually bring harm to citizens of Hanagakure? For that I cannot allow you to live, whatever you are."

With that the creature attacked Bankai by lunging at him with great speed. He raised his sword and blocked the attack and pivoting making the beast being flung by the centrifugal force generated by the swing. Its body crashed into a nearby tree or so Bankai thought as it landed and stuck to the tree and used its legs muscles to spring at Bankai yet again. But this time, Bankai was sure that he did not want to end this too quickly and decided that he would play with the beast a little and test it out for his report for this mission. He decided he will play with its mind since it is intelligent. He was sure, he would be affected by the next Genjutsu despite its low rank. Soon enough the creature did not even know it was already trapped within a genjutsu as multiple copies of Bankai appeared. The creature with its large eyes kept trying to keep an eye on all of them but it simple could not due to the numbers. When it attacked a clone it simply multiplied more and more with each strike and Bankai just sat back and took in the fun of it all. He so wanted to just raise his sword and just let it fall on the creature's neck and cleave it in two but no. He wanted to see more of the creature's movements and so he attacked it using taijutsu. As the monster took out his bone kunai, he took out his own kunai and started to go head to head with the creature and eventually he got bored and stuck it in its throat and killed it.

As the green slime that was its blood dripped off from Bankai's clothes he looked at the hunters with his usual impassive face. They knew that the threat was indeed gone and without a word, Bankai knew they were very grateful to him for avenging their friends. Bankai made them take what little was left of their friends and place them in a plastic bag and carry it home to their friends and family for burial. Even then Bankai wished they had more to bury.
