Week 4 Mission:

”Come on...!”, spoke Jayr softly through gritted teeth as she stared at the hand held held between both hands: her reddish purple gaze locked on the tiny screen. She had been lounging on one of the comfortable couches in her father's office, but as her frustration towards the game rose she ended up sitting up until both feet were on the floor and leaning forward slightly: as if the new position would help any. The sound was down on the hand held but if anyone needed conformation on what game she was playing her next words of ”Come on, Squirtle! Get with the program!” would definitely do the trick.

Jayr was off duty today, and had decided to grace her father with her presence: he didn't often get a break from the job of Commander General, even when he was off duty he never truly was off duty – especially with the way incidents could and likely would pop up at a moments notice within Hana. So, it was easier for her to spend the day in his office on her day off, then him trying to spend time with her on his day off – or so she figured. Logic~! But, Jayr didn't mind: his office had plenty of comfortable couches, and if anything there was always something interesting to watch – such as when her sudden outburst over her game startled one of many people who came in and out of her father's office throughout the day.

Jayr was dressed as she often was – on duty or off duty – long rainbow colored hair that went down roughly twelve inches past her shoulder with the left side of her head shaved – though the hair that had grown back was rainbow colored too, black eyeliner and mascara with pink lip gloss, a blue cami styled top, black shorts, black stockings, and combat boots. Even off duty she kept her Ember Celica on her: which now consisted of gold bands around her wrists, around her ankles, a gold colored 'belt' around her waist, and gold colored 'dog tags' that hung from her neck. She also had on her her basic kunai and shuriken which were in a pouch that was strapped to her right thigh. Cana, her all white horse-sized pure blooded wolf with the claw marks across her muzzle was curled up on a large dog bed nearby: sleeping soundly at the moment despite Jayr's latest outburst.

”Baw! Fainted... I'll show you fainted you electric bastard when I drop a boulder on your face...” Jayr said through gritted teeth. It was, perhaps, a good thing that Jayr's berserker rage never triggered through video games, especially as the look on her face was both comical and murderous at the moment: she was having fun though, lots of fun. It was, after all, her first day off in a long time that she hadn't spent training: her armor had been upgraded, and she had grown skill wise quite quickly since the encounter with that fire demon, or as Jayr often referred to the thing as 'bastard fire thing'. Not only did she have knowledge of weapons tech, and ninjutsu but she had added to her abilities by adding in fuuinjutsu and medical ninjutsu – the latter making her an excellent medic to have on the field. So, this truly was a complete and total break... if only it would last.

.oO(OOC Notice: Since this has been sitting for quite a few days and is essential for plot I'm going to go ahead and finish this off now so that it's done in time.)

Jayr continued to mutter under her breath, a slew of mild curse words and heavier insults, all of which were directed towards the game in her hand. After several minutes of this a look of triumph fell upon her face and she pumped her fist into the air. ”Yes! Nailed it!” Just then a urgent sounding knock on the door caused her head to jerk up. She glanced over to her father's desk to see that he wasn't back yet from his important meeting. ”Come in.”, Jayr called out as she saved her game and then shut the handheld off with a flick of the switch.

A harassed looking officer walked in, saw the empty desk, and then instantly turned her attention onto Jayr. ”Where's the Commander General?

”Important meeting. What's going on?”

”There's some sort of creature heading straight for the north side of village; it's leaving a path of destruction in its wake. We need all the help we can ge---”, the man was cut off mid sentence as Jayr was already up off of the couch, across the room, and out the door before her hand held even hit the cushion of the couch. The man stood there in shock for a moment, obviously not expecting her to move so fast that she practically disappeared, before he too took off.

Jayr had no idea where all of these monsters were coming from but she was getting damn sick and tired of them attacking the village. Perhaps it was time to set an example: really give this one something to think about so that if any more of the bastards were lurking around they'd go find another village to mess with and leave Hanagakure alone.

Jayr was out of the building in a flash and heading down the street; some fancy park-our moves getting her up a light pole and onto the roof tops of the villages' buildings. She needed to move fast, and the crowds there were pushing and shoving in the opposite direction were only going to slow her down and keep her from being able to help. As Jayr neared the north gate, continuing to jump and hop from one building's roof or garden wall and to the next as she did so, her full armor activated: she had no idea what this creature was but she wasn't going to take any chances. It was time to put her entire armor to use. The helmet and chest came out of the gold dog tags that hung around her neck, while her gauntlets grew from the bands around her wrists and connected with the 'sleeves' of the chest piece. From her gold belt came her armor's pants, while the bands around her ankles expanded to form boots which connected with the pants. Jayr was entirely encased in the gold material, and ready for what was about to come.

As she made it over the last roof top she paused; what she was seeing was like some sort of dinosaur, or perhaps a dragon out of a children's book. At the moment it was raging hard against a group of soldiers who were obviously trying to keep it from entering into the village and really beginning to spread it's mayhem and destruction. Captain Yen was among those who were fighting the beast, but she had her back to it, attempting to help free an ally from some mud. A glance at the beast told Jayr all she needed to know: Captain Yen was in danger, this beast was preparing to launch something at her and she had no idea about it.

Jayr knew there was no way Captain Yen would hear her in time and so that left her with only one choice and that was to try and reach her on time. Jayr took off like a bullet, putting her full speed into effect. Teeth were grit behind the helmet of her armor as she sped as fast as possible towards Captain Yen and the soldier who was now free. Just as the creature fired the bullet Jayr barreled into both of them, knocking them out of the way and out of the range of the bullet of mud that hit exactly where both Captain Yen and the other soldier had been moments before.

Jayr glanced backwards, noticing the mud, and a plan formulated in her mind quickly. “Captain Yen, get all of those with the ability to preform wind jutsu. Gather them together and blow the ash and soot in from the the fires: it'll mix with the mud and make it sticky. The big bastard won't be able to use it anymore. Hurry, I'll keep it distracted!” Captain Yen saluted her and then was off, gathering up as many wind users as she could. Jayr meanwhile turned her attention towards the big bastard threatening her friends, family, and village.

Another Captain arrived to Jayr's side and she barked out orders quickly while keeping her gaze trained on the muddy beast. “Get everyone back, I have a plan, and I need freedom to work. I don't want to have to worry about casualties.” She was saluted and her orders carried out. Thank god for rank: it saved her from having to argue with everyone.

Jayr began to focus on her explosion release chakra, channeling it through her gauntlets, both of them: the set up for her Machine Gun jutsu. She took aim at the beast as she felt the vibrations start up through her arms: bullets exploding out the end of her gauntlets as they fired rapidly towards the beast. She knew she only had to keep this up until enough soot was falling. Thankfully, she could already see it beginning to fall around the air like fresh snow. The beast roared and fired another mud like bullet straight towards Jayr, but she was expecting it and dodged out of the way. She ran a good thirty feet to the left, stopped, and continued to fire. The beast turned, keeps its attention focused completely on her and not the soot now falling like a blizzard around them.

Jayr's arms were beginning to go numb from the vibrations but she didn't dare stop: she needed this thing to keep paying attention to her until it was too late and she knew the key to doing that was to keep it pissed off. She moved another thirty or so feet to the right, stopped and kept firing after dodging another mud jutsu.

Visibility was almost non-existent, and Jayr knew that were it not for her armor she would be choking to death right now. As it was the beast was beginning to struggle: it seemed incapable of preforming a jutsu due to the soot and ash mixing with its mud and making it too sticky and heavy to move. At the same time the beast began to let out a sound that Jayr would guess indicated it was beginning to choke. Another thirty feet to the side and she fired more bullets off once more. Instead of roaring as it had been the thing began to cough and sputter. It's struggles becoming more frantic and less angered: the soot was suffocating it.

Jayr watched as the thing let out one last rattling gasp before it became still. However, she didn't let her guard down: she didn't trust this not to be some well devised trick – there was no telling how intelligent a beast like this was after all. Better to be safe now then sorry later.

Thankfully for Jayr she was thinking smart as something began to happen within the middle of the mud that the beast had essentially melted into upon its death. A bubbling started up, and then something began to start to form from it. Jayr, pissed off that this thing was attempting to keep surviving, took aim and channeled a large amount of explosion release chakra through her right gauntlet. She fired this chakra which formed a rocket and sped straight towards the puddle of mud. It exploded upon impact, effectively and permanently killing this beast while mud was sprayed everywhere.

Jayr stood there for a moment as the ash and soot quit falling from the sky and began to settle on the ground once more. The air began to clear and from it, in the distance, she saw a mass of soldiers standing nearby with special equipment to allow them to breath.

She motioned for them to move in by raising her hand and making a pulling motion with it. They moved in instantly at her command, giving the puddle of mud a wide berth. ”I don't think it's coming back, there's no more life coming from that thing... let's get this cleaned up, and get the soot back and away from the village.”

”Where will you be if your father asks?”, came Captain Yen's voice as the female walked to her and they fist bumped – Jayr being careful because her armor was still activated.

”I'm going home to clean up; I need to get this soot off me before it gets in my armor. Then I'll be at the bar...”

”Doing what?

”Getting too shit faced to think or feel for a while... “, Jayr said with a grin before she turned and took off; she knew the clean up was under control, and she was of no help with that considering she had no wind jutsu to begin with. The mud would harden and dry unless they used water jutsu to wash it away, and again she was no help there. Nope, best thing for her to do was get out of the way and cleaned up...
