What the hell is that!?[B-Rank Event Mission/Open]

Zaiaku was quickly running down the village streets, with Tiger and Kodo at his side, as crowds among crowds of people ran the opposite direction. Though it had just happened only a few moments ago, Zaiaku had received word that some sort of mutant or demon was in the market, and it was eating those who it encountered. Upon having heard this, Zaiaku made Zaigou stay at home with the windows and doors locked as he and his pets went to investigate. Of course this really wasn't much of a investigation. More stopping a already enlarging massacre of civilian and shinobi lives. With only a few turns, Zaiaku was in the entrance of the market, and already there were the signs of the beasts. Men, women, children, killed and half-eaten. Even some low-class ninja were dead. "We gotta move!" Zaiaku almost yelled in worry and anger. Worry for those who might be trapped with this...this monster and anger for said monster. It didn't take long for him to encounter the beast, as it was currently trying to rip off the arm of a already dead young boy. Perhaps seven years of age. Tooth holes were clearly visible on his forehead, indicating a possible swift death, compared to most of the other bodies, which were pretty much torn limb from limb. The moment Zaiaku, Kodo, and Tiger came into view, the beast stopped its assault on the boy, simply staring at the trio. Similar to how a cat stares at a mouse before pouncing. The trio simply stared back, with Zaiaku's hand on the handle of his machete, ready to slice if anything were to happen.

It was never a normal day out in Yokuchigakure, but today was especially a violent one. Sitting in his office, Yudai heard the sounds of quick moving feet just outside his room. One of the attendants downstairs burst through the door, and yelled, “Lord Kouyakage, there’s a violent beast in the village streets. It’s a bloody massacre down there!” Without any emotion, he rose from his chair, a slight grin appearing on his face, and said, “No one touches my village.”

From the rooftop of the administrative building, he could see the dust forming from the debris below. In a rush, he leapt from building to building, quickly working as fast as he could to reach the site. From atop one of the minarets of another building, he observed the beast with his own eyes. The creature was fox like, similar to the others he had seen sporadically throughout the village, but much taller than any of the monsters before. In fact, this one had three tails and four arms, and had just ripped off an arm from its deceased owner.

Looking out from his viewpoint, he saw Zaiaku below in the streets, staring the creature down with his two pets. He figured he should help, but part of him wanted to test this soldier’s abilities. Yudai didn’t know a lot about him, but he thought the best way to get to know a shinobi was to learn how they fight. He staggered his footing and waited patiently from the rooftop to see what the next few moments would unveil.

Zaiaku simply uttered a low growl at the creature before speaking to both Tiger and Kodo, not even turning to them. "Boys....go find survivors, if any, and get 'em outta here." Said in a low voice, his eyes peeled on the monstrosity before him. Tiger simply nodded and ran off to the left, jumping and maneuvering over booths and stands. However, Kodo simply stared at Zaiaku with a expression that could only be described as a unwanted surprise. "Go.Now." Zaiaku growled, gritting his teeth. Kodo lingered for a few moments before following Zaiaku's command, running off to the left with great speed. Now it was only him and this....this monster. The monster, as if understanding this, dropped the boy and stood on its hind legs. Though it was definitely shorter than Zaiaku, this thing had four arms. And was quick enough to kill this many people. Nonetheless, Zaiaku wasn't afraid. He wasn't about to let some overgrown, flea infested, mangy canine hurt the innocence any longer. Knowing this, adrenaline filled his body with anger powering his psyche. "There's only room for one monster in this village!" He called out to the beast. "You UGLY SON OF BITCH!" With that, the beast quickly pounced on Zaiaku with unexpected speed, effectively pinning him down. Looking at him with its mutated eyes, it roared loudly to Zaiaku's face. Zaiaku, however, responded quickly with a doton infused headbutt to the jaw.

The beast, naturally, with-drew its head in pain, covering its jaw with its two most upper hands. Zaiaku took his opportunity and quickly reached out, grabbing the creature by the neck. He then turned the tables, forcing himself on top of the beast. The beast, having recovered from its pain, lashed out with all four of its armed. It lodged it lower ones to Zaiaku's sides, its claws digging it his skin as the upper ones came to his shoulders, trying to force him off. Zaiaku growled at the shredding and did get up, but not before delivering a full on punch to the creature's snout, causing it to yelped. With that, he quickly got up and jumped away until there was a good six feet in between them. Blood slowly slid from Zaiaku's sides, but he knew it wasn't anything serious. They hardly got to half a inch of flesh. Knowing this, he ignored the pain and, simply got into a boxing stance. The creature, having gotten up and shaken its head, was on its feet, growling. Zaiaku, however, simply chuckled. "Boy...I'm gonna enjoy ripping each of those arms off your body." He said with a smile. The creature simply opened its mouth, however, and a blast of water erupted from it. Surprised by this, Zaiaku was struck on the chest and fell down.

Though hit, it was nothing worse than a bruise, luckily for him. As he got up, the creature charged at him, wrapping its arms around his torso as it sunk its teeth in his right arm. Zaiaku yelled in pain and tried to quickly react. He inhaled deeply before exhaling a thick cloud of black smoke right unto the monster's face. Its eyes itching, wheezing, and lungs stinging, the monster let go and jumped back and out the cloud. Zaiaku, on the other side of the cloud, looked at his arm. It was bleeding badly. He knew he had to be quick about this and not the monster surprise him again. With that and, not really caring if the beast was still wheezing or not, ran through the smoke, his eyes closed and breath held, until he was out of it. The beast had just recovered and, upon seeing him, charged at him. Zaiaku, however, was ready this time. He eventually came to a halt as the beast was upon him, and weaved to the left. The creature had slashed directly at him, aiming to pierce his chest with its claws. The attack having missed, Zaiaku unleashed a good chakra enhanced left hook onto the creature's head, sending it smashing through multiple stalls and stands.

555 Chakra left (1 B, 1 C, 1 D):

The creature slowly rose from the impact zone, its eyes darting back towards its opponent, slowly reaching its arms out to hoist itself up.  A dark and sinister snarl filled the air as it looked at Zaiaku, with the intent of killing him.  All the while, Yudai simply sat in his perch, looking over the scene, but the Kage’s mind was filled with thoughts.  “I’ve only met Zaiaku once, and it’s clear that he is a very skilled and strong shinobi, but his feral nature is still something I’ll have to figure it out.  Yokuchi has always been a home to him, and he would do anything to protect it, but I wonder….”

As the fox like beast stood tall, Yudai lept from his post through the air, forming his hand seals quickly.  “Lava Style: Scorching Steam Rock Jutsu!” he shouted.  From his mouth flew six molten boulders, streaking across the sky like meteors before colliding with the fox, forcing the monster back into its pit.  With his back to the creature, he landed in a stylish pose facing towards Zaiaku.  His white silks moved calmly among the gentle breeze of the battlefield, and his golden bands and chest plate gleamed in the sun.  

Yet from behind, the beast took advantage of his blind spot.  Stumbling as it started, the fox was in a dead sprint to reach the Kage and strike him.  Of course Yudai knew that the monster was coming, but this was a simple test, he thought.  It would be easy enough to just dodge the creature, or counter using one of his more sophisticated justu, but that would defeat his point.  Now closing in quickly, he put his faith in Zaiaku to defend his Kage.  He wanted this to be more than just protecting the village, Yudai wanted to test Zaiaku’s loyalty to him.

Chakra Remaining (780/800):

Zaiaku held his biten arm, blood still oozing out of the tooth marks from where the fox beast had bite him. "Fuckin' DIE already!" He yelled in anger as he saw the creature slowly arise from the rubble. Injured, bleeding, and pissed off, it snarled in response. "I'll rip you to f-" Zaiaku was about to yell until he heard a rather familiar voice. Just as quick as he heard it, lava rocks hit the beast directly, forcing it back down as it sneered and yelped in pain. Landing shortly after was the kage. Zaiaku blinked and exhaled from his nose, steam coming out of it as he straightened his posture. Mildly confused couldn't begin to describe how he felt. That is, until he noticed the monster running to the kage at full-sprint, with Mr.Kage seemingly not noticing. Zaiaku's eyes grew wide and, rather than thinking, he acted. He ran as well toward the kage. If one were looking from the side, it would seem like Zaiaku and the beast were working together to take the kage down. Of course, at the last minute, Zaiaku jumped right over the kage. He landed only a foot behind him, and the beast had just pounced from a few meters away. Zaiaku, however, has had enough. Condensing the chakra into his arms and fists, steam arose from them as he then let out a final cry. "I said fuckin' DIE!!" And with that, Zaiaku released his onslaught onto the beast, who was still in the air, being kept up by the force of the strikes. Blood squirted out via the more tender parts of the beast's abused body, while loud cracks could be heard. At the end of it all, the beast lay on its back, broken, dead, and steaming. Zaiaku could only look at the beast as he panted, trying to regain his breathe. It was then that Kodo and Tiger arrived, quickly coming to Zaiaku's side. Tiger held Zaiaku's hand and was fanning him, while Kodo looked at the unknown man with his animalistc eyes, growling.

The fox had gotten a bit close for Yudai’s preference, and he had begun to flinch at the impacting blow, but just how he had hoped, Zaiaku had quickly reacted. The darkened warrior had leaped over top of him, landing very close, and had used some sort of technique to crush the fox into oblivion. Across the street lay a bloodied fox, with a matted pelt, broken bones, and a lifeless composure. The Kage had also noticed that Zaiaku’s animal companions had also returned to his side, one of them looking strangely at him.

His little test had seemed to work well. It would have been much easier to allow him to be hit, and to use that opportunity to strike the beast with a lethal blow. And yet, there was a certain eagerness and motivation to save his life. At the very least, this intrigued him.
He wanted to hear what this shinobi had to say, and he knew this would be the moment to ask him, “Why did you jump in front of me?” the Kage questioned. “You knew it would be so much easier to allow him to strike me and follow up.” He was so eager for a response, he looked intently at Zaiaku.

"Took you boys long enough." Zaiaku said to both Tiger and Kodo, resulting in Tiger shrugging. He then turned to Mr.Kage, but not before ushering Kodo back to his side. As he listened, he couldn't help but raise a eyebrow. "Follow up?" He asked. "That damned creature has already killed too many." He said loudly, motioning his arms around, signifying that there are actually a good amount of casualities. "We lost the kage....well....Yokuchi wouldn't be Yokuchi anymore. Besides, why let it hit you if I knew a way of killin' it where it wouldn't manage to even hurt you. Or anybody."

His little test had worked, that’s for sure, but he had been very wrong about Zaiaku.  Before, he was a tall, dark skinned monster that would claw and fight to the bone to survive, but Yudai had overlooked the shinobi’s heart.  He was truly one of Yokuchigakure’s best.

Yudai always had to be strong.  His parents had passed away while he was still a young ninja in training, and he always felt a need to uphold their legacy.  He had followed in their footsteps as a member of the ANBU forces, running Black Ops to make his parents proud.  He had even accepted the role of Kouyakage, all in an effort so that he could feel strong.  What he realized was that it took more than just him to keep the village safe.  He couldn’t protect an entire village alone, he would need the support and trust of the people in order to do that.

While friendship had never come easy to the Kage, he took one step closer to it today.  He looked admirably at Zaiaku, and said with the slightest of smiles, “We could not have won today without your strength Zai.  You are one of the best ninja here in the village, and I hope you realize that.”  He had taken that moment to leap to a nearby structure, preparing for the long rooftop run back to his office, and the pile of paperwork the sultan would demand, but he turned his head back for a brief moment.  “You’ll have to stop by my building sometime.  Otherwise, I’ll look forward to seeing you on the battlefield, as a shinobi and a friend.”  With that, he leapt once again, and drifted out of site back towards the administration building.  He had just hoped that the sultan would be understanding of all the recent emergencies that were happening in the village.

Zaiaku merely straightened his stance as he was praised by the kage, his breathing returning to normal. He didn't exactly know what to the think as he then saw him take his leave, leaping away via the buildings. Only two things to do now. "Tiger...get that fucked shit over there to the hospital so we can get paid extra. When you're done, return home." He said as he began to walk off, knowing full and well that despite the fact Zaigou was do first-aid, he will also bombard with him questions of what happened.
