General Description: Kotaro can be depicted as a tall and lengthy fellow. Harboring the lanky type build having slightly longer limbs than normal, these being his legs and arms. Though he has a longer body type than most, each particle of his being is filled out with well defined muscles, proof of his arduous shinobi training. Arms like thick timber and legs even thicker, his core or as he calls it his steel wall resembles the eight pack of the most qualified olympian. Strong and well filled out, many make the mistake of passing his lengthy build as only swift and hard to get a hold of.
Despite his age, Kotaro boast a rather youthful looking visage. Not a single blemish calls his face home. What does reside on his face however are distinct face paint markings. One marking crosses the bridge of his nose and stops before reaching underneath the eyes. The next are mirrored markings coming from his side burns and span in towards his eyes, but stop before reaching them. All the markings are in a deep tone of green that could be called jungle green. His clothing matches this color for the most part though it is mixed in with various other greens and browns to create a consistent camouflage pattern on some of his garbs.

A sleeveless drape or camouflage cloth that doesn't go below the chest, covers a black long sleeved styled clothing that is rolled up at the forearms. His lower body is covered in the same style of camouflage, but in the form of baggy/spacious ninja pants cut off at the knee. Meeting these ninja pants are long length ninja tabi.
Last we have his head of braggadocios hair that is akin to a lions mane. Miraculously staying back and not falling down like physics say it should, his hair keeps a consistent backwards facing spiky style even when Kotaro is not in motion. Naturally his hair would reach his shoulders, but as previously stated his hair does what it wants.
About You!
Personality: Kotaro is quite the free spirited soul especially for someone his age. He loves life and all the things it has to offer including the downs. A man that enjoys to travel, he seen majority of the Shinobi World, but seems to find something new to appreciate each time he makes a new journey. Some relate his mannerisms to that of a child, but in rebuttal, Kotaro thinks people take life much too seriously. He doesn't stress over things like most do even when situations seem extremely dire. With this gift of tranquility, naturally Kotaro has a sound and strategical mind being able to make effective decisions even when under intense pressure. Along with this tranquil and calm aura about him, comes an explosiveness and high energy styled persona. These two character traits blend in a unique way however, that shows that the shinobi has nearly no cares in the world at all. Though he claims loyalty to Hanagakure no Sato, it is only because he likes the concept of the Shinobi system and socialization that comes with it. No special ties or deep rooted relations with the village, Kotaro simply saw the choice of becoming a shinobi as a another journey or voyage in his life. He finds it fun to climb the ranks and make a unique name or reputation for himself, truly a one of a kind ninja.
Along with this climbing of the ranks, Kotaro enjoys taking others with him making him quite the teacher to the youth of Hanagakure. His favorite is taking young Genin with him on his journeys to other lands and mentoring them one on one. Accompanying his soft spot for women, but not triumphing such a natural attraction, his favorite relationship is the bond a teacher and student can have if the interactions are done correctly and one is fully invested in the others growth.
Living such a lackadaisical lifestyle one would wonder if the shinobi ever takes anything serious and the answer to that is yes. Though it doesn't show much, under his carefree mannerisms is a very alert and analytical person and when it comes to his personal studies, Kotaro isn't one to take them lightly. Constantly trying to better himself, for no one but himself, the ninja can be quite the perfectionist and extremely hard on himself. His life and his actions are the only thing he feels he has control over, so it only makes sense that he'd treat his personal training and actions very serious, while the rest of the world goes about their business.
If it wasn't apparent by now, it is evident Kotro is quite philosophical at times, but only when it comes to outlooks on life. Favoring and living by the words of
"Be like water." Kotaro molds and shapes himself accordingly to the circumstances around him. This makes him quite the handy companion and usually a valuable asset to a team.
History: The story of Kotaro Fuma is a long stream of many journeys. Born in the Land of Deserts, the village Yokuchigakure, Kotaro was a member of the remote Fuma compound or bandit group. There they trained vigorously day and night even in times of peace. Their brute nature never allowed those who possessed their blood to rest, regardless of the status of those in other villages or of the world. In their eyes battle was always around the corner and war was always eminent. Though Kotaro was birthed by two he would call mother and father, they weren't the primary role models in his life. As the saying goes, "It takes a village to raise a child." Along with his kin, Kotaro was trained primarily in the arts of Fuuton based Ninjutsu and in Bukijutsu, primarily Kenjutsu. Like a pack of wolves he and those in his age group were raised as if they were ancient ninja from Kirigakure. Rendered killers at young ages, the Fuma clan, at least this branch, was on a rise of power. Such a rise of power that was be closely supervised by the leader of the nearby Yokuchigakure however.
Being a clan that operated like a rogue organization, raiding small villages, wiping out other bandit groups, the Yokuchigakure Branch of the Fuma Clan needed to be dealt with. That consisted of either eradication or alignment on their behalf. So it was set. Kotaro was about ten years old when this mutual meeting between the Village Head of Yokuchigakure and his Clan's Chief met in open lands to discuss the future of the relation between the two parties. Like most altercations involving the bandit clan, this one turned bloody rather quickly with the overly chauvinistic brutes sparking the skirmish. Many fell and though they fought hard, the Fumas weren't powerful enough to take on the force of Yokuchigakure. Most killed, some escaped with their lives and fled to other countries, Kotaro was one of these ninjas. Though it wasn’t necessary, the ninja wanted to make sure he wouldn’t be hunted or tracked by any from his past or Yokuchigakure. This is the reason he now wears bandages to cover all his skin, but his eyes and nose. His true appearance is unknown to all except himself.
Out to the Land of Cherry Blossoms he went. No reason in particular, he just felt the land of weapon specialist would have greener pastures for him to graze on rather than any other land in the world. It was there principles of loyalty were instilled in him and where he learned traditional swordsmanship. It was long, tedious, and arduous to learn, but eventually Kotaro became quite the swordsman and was seen as the star student of his dojo. He was only thirteen at the time and through use of the blade alone he could take on much older foes and triumph over them. It was when he turned fifteen that he realized he was slowly becoming comfortable with such a lifestyle and was settling in. "I'm too young for this." He would tell himself at night, before one moon lit night he left.
Taking up odd sword related jobs here and there to provide for himself and keep his stomach full, as his reputation grew he finally was offered a big time job. A Ronin hired as a guard for a special official, Kotaro would travel the ninja world for two more years of his life while serving under this man, before they arrived in Hanagakure and he came into contact with one of his brethren from his childhood. Inspired to join Hanagakure's ninja force and put his samurai training to use, but as a ninja, he left his role as an immediate guard, but it wasn't that easy. Just like the many he killed during his time spent as a protector, in the end it was he who executed his Lord for an attempted assassination plot against Kotaro himself.
With nothing holding him back, the roamer was instated as a soldier in Hanagakure. It was a rough transition from such a free life style that was pent on traveling and protecting one sole person, but now he had to protect a whole village. Of course he wasn't and isn't alone, but Kotaro often finds it more stressful than the job of guarding a single man. Starting as a soldier at age 23, the young ninja had a hard time falling in with the squad system. It was similar to a system he learned as a child back in the Fuma compound, but it was much more organized and the children, well the students weren't what he was used to dealing with. All throughout his life the children or youngsters he had been in contact with were all so fearsome -his peers from the past- or heavily disciplined and determined -his Dojo peers-. These kids weren't necessarily chumps or anything, but they didn't have the same amount of devotion Kotaro was used to seeing in youth. He wouldn't tolerate it though, casual ninja or serious about the lifestyle, Kotaro pushed his Genin to their limits always. He saw them as an extension of himself in a certain way and if they were pushovers, what would that say about him.
Being revered as one of the toughest sensei's in the village, Kotaro's training regime was seen as inhumane at times and such a thing wasn't acceptable, at least not with the rank he held. Age 25 and he was integrated into a small specialized group of soldiers and he again gained the freedom to spread his wings and fly alone and on the rare occasion in a cell. On the side he also picked up Bounty Hunting and Manga reading, these of course in times were he wasn't needed by his village. The world in a calm, Kotaro along with a few others were then put to the test to ascend to the next rank, so by the time Kotaro was 27 after returning from a 2 year long mission he had become a Captain in Hanagakure's forces. The new focus of the village being on keeping the youth growing to fine shinobi since Hanagakure had become seen as a grand/major village of its own.
This transition put Kotaro back in the sensei shoes and since then he's adapted well. Now on a slightly shorter leash, he has however softened his training methods with his students and found a fair medium. Now he's just seen as a tough sense rather than a slave driver.
RP Sample: The wind blew softly as the trees spoke in their ancient tongue to one another. The forest was in a lax and peaceful state this evening as was the peculiar looking man who rested within the greenery. Laid out on a branch with an issue from a new comic series in hand, Kotaro inhaled deeply taking in the sweet scent of the cherry blossoms before exhaling out in the atmosphere. Footsteps coming into audible distance, the red hues of the Captain's optics were averted from his manga downwards 10m below to three genin meeting up underneath the tree he was in. Eavesdropping as his students conversed, still with no luck they had not discovered their sensei's location, until he let out an innocent sneeze which snatched their attention upwards. Rubbing his nose as he cursed his allergies and his choice on settling in such a village that irritated his sinuses relentlessly, he then grinned and took off deeper into the forest for his students to pursue him.
