By touching the ground with their fingers, the user can get a bearing as of what direction they are travelling in and the distance from rock formations and buildings nearby. It can also track other people using the electric signals in their brain, though it can merely tell how far that person is, and it reaches a distance of about 100 meters.

This can also be used as a basic weapon, for the user can attack the opponent in the head or back of the neck and the electric charge can disrupt their nervous system for a while, disorienting them and leaving them dizzy for a few moments. The Chidori appears as simply a mass of white electrical chakra in the user's hand, while the Lightning Cutter is more focused. Because of this, it is able to cause far more damage, easily able to pierce entirely through the body with or without armor (up to S-rank); and leave instant third degree electrical burns the radiate outwards along the nervous, vascular, and lympathic systems for roughly 6 inches away from the point of impact. Without significant (A-rank or better) medical treatment being recieved within 10 posts, there is a very real chance (>50%) of death occuring.

The user must come into physical contact with the target, as which point the spark of chakra transfers to their body and acts as a homing beacon for the upcoming attack. Once the mark has been set, the user with channel a huge amount of Raiton chakra through their body and fire it into the sky; either into pre-existing clouds, or into clouds that the heat of the Raiton chakra itself will create. After one post, the clouds will darken and take on the appearance of a thunderstorm. During the third post, a cascade of lightning bolts, numbering in the dozens, will rain down and be drawn toward the mark on the target, causing the bolts to track to their location. Each bolt deals B-Rank electrocution damage. A SPD stat of SS1 or higher is required to avoid these bolts, and the overall damage can be lethal if a minimum of 10 bolts strike the target. The target will suffer a -1 rank to SPD adn REA stat for the remainder of the thread, due to the effects of the lightning chakra on the nervous system. Only an SS-Rank medical ninjutsu can counteract this effect. The lightning bolts can be directed towards a single spot, or to several: no more than 3 at any given time.
