General Description: Artemis stands at five foot two inches tall, but despite her small height she is a force to be reckoned with. She is built like a Taijutsu fighter; slim, with a well toned body, and lean muscle. She weighs on average one hundred and fifteen pounds.

Her skin is darkly tanned, and her hair is as black as a moonless night. Her eyes stand out the most about her; they're like molten liquid silver in color. Artemis' hair is waist length and black in color, but is often worn up in a ponytail or a messy bun to keep it out of the way due to her relying mostly on her hands and feet to fight.

Artemis wears little make up, and that consists of nothing more then black mascara and eyeliner; lining both the top and bottom lids with the jet black color.

On her right arm is a Celtic style tattoo sleeve that goes onto her back and spreads across it to her left arm.

Artemis' usual attire consists of bandages that cover her knuckles, up her forearm, and stop at her elbows. A reddish white colored sleeveless top keeps the top half of her covered; clinging to her figure while having enough give so that she can move freely. Black slightly baggy pants cover the bottom half of her that stop right below her knees and cling to her legs. Feet are often either bare or in the traditional open toed black shinobi sandals. Her village hitai-ate is worn around her left arm while her weapons pouch is worn around her right leg; high enough to be easily accessed.





Personality: Artemis can definitely come off as brash to those who don't know her. She's not afraid to get into someone's face if deemed necessary, even if that person happens to be bigger then her. However, she's not a hot head; while she can come off as balls to the wall she does take her time to think and calculate instead of rushing into a situation head first.

She's brutally honest, and tells things exactly how they are with no sugar coating. She doesn't believe in beating around the bush, or appeasing people with half truths or lies. To her lies and half truths don't fix things: you can't get better if you can't know what's wrong after all.

Artemis can also come off as a fearless individual: she's willing to try anything at least once, and has a hard time turning down a dare. Poking a wild beast? Let's do it. Cliff diving? She's game.

However, Artemis can also come off as very quiet; perhaps even a bit shady. She likes to keep mostly to herself, and she keeps the majority of her life private. She prefers to be left to herself, or in the company of a close friend, instead of surrounded by perfect strangers, even if those strangers are known.

However, to those who know Artemis well there is no loyaler friend then her. She would take the bullet for anyone she cares for; both proverbial and non. She won't put up with someone down talking a friend or family member, nor threatening them. She's kind and caring, talkative and joking, with people she's gotten close to – allowing the real her hidden underneath of the emotionless mask to be seen and heard.

History: Artemis is the daughter of a loving mother and caring father. From a very young age she was given room to grow; given everything she would ever need to lead a successful life and be very happy doing it. Surrounded constantly by family, both biological and extended, she was never alone. She was a happy and healthy child who had the world by its proverbial balls even as a toddler.

She lived a very protected life: no threat against her wasn't dealt with, no harsh word spoken against her was allowed to stick.

By the time Artemis could walk and talk she was given every opportunity to grow and expand. She had plenty of people around her to help hone her abilities and skills from a very young age, and to help her learn. However, it did become clear early on that she preferred Taijutsu above everything else. She was proficient in Genjutsu and even Ninjutsu, but she preferred to fight up close, to use her fists. She was taught though, not to allow this to make her a bully – and in fact began to despise those who picked on the weak and helpless.

By the time she was entering into the Academy she had a reputation of helping those in need. She excelled in the Academy both academically and otherwise. She often did extra work, extra assignments, just to continue to grow and expand: she used her mind just as much as she used her fists and both served her well. Most refused to spar with her towards the end because each and every time she stepped into the 'ring' she was as unpredictable as the last; using her opponents own moves against them the majority of the time. She graduated at the age of twelve among the top of her class.

Now a Genin Artemis was assigned to a squad; her two teammates and her often at each others throats in the beginning: a dopy boy who seemed dumber then a shoe, and another boy who had a screw the world attitude. But, after mission after mission, they became closer; learning to work together instead of against each other. They became like a well oiled machine. No mission wasn't completed, no task wasn't handled. They learned to rely on each other until it was time for them to all go their separate ways. They had learned all they could together, and now it was time to branch out so that they could continue to expand as both shinobi and as people.

Artemis' eyes snapped open: she had been enjoying the peace and quiet while she was meditating but now that peace and quiet had been invaded. Joy. Artemis' eyelids opened, molten silver colored eyes piercingly looking around for the source of the noise.

”Stupid little girl and her stupid dolly. If you want it so bad come get it!”

Artemis' found the source; two older boys were picking on a younger girl. The one who was doing the talking was holding a worn and torn looking doll up and over the little girls head. The little girl was jumping up and down, attempting to snatch it, but she simply wasn't tall enough: Artemis knew the pain of being short. That added onto her extreme dislike of bullies had her blood beginning to boil and her temper beginning to flare.

A frown formed across Artemis' face as she stood up in one lithe movement. As she watched the little girl continue to jump up and attempt to grab her doll she walked over in their direction. ”Oi, give the girl back her doll right now.”, Artemis called out after she got close enough. The two boys looked over to her, sizing Artemis up and taking her small stature in. One of them smirked.

”Oh yeah? And what are you going to do if I don't?”, Artemis was asked snidely.

Artemis popped her knuckles threateningly. ”I'm going to give you a dose of your own medicine, that's what.” Artemis watched as the bully's friend nudged him and pointed to her village hitai-ate that was tied around her arm.

”Dude, she's a ninja... let's go. Come on. This ain't worth it. She'll whoop our asses.” His friend seemed to contemplate this for a moment, eyeing Artemis and then looking to the little girl. Artemis then watched as the little girl was given back her doll with a mumbled apology before the two boys took off...
