The ruins outside of the village were a place that Senri had become fond of during his three year stay in the village that had become his home, Hanagakure. They were a place that he could just get away from the masses, away from people who couldn’t possibly understand what he felt about not having a memory outside of the three years of memory he now had. They had no idea about being suspicious of what had happened to him. Of what had caused him to lose everything and have to start fresh. True, he had grown fond of the people and what he did within the village, but there were still moments when he just needed to get away. That was what he usually wandered to the ruins for. However, that wasn’t quite why he had wandered there with Ōkami next to him. Senri had mostly just felt like a change of scenery for his training today, and perhaps he’d even go exploring for a while. He wasn’t expected anywhere today, so he had the time. And he enjoyed the surroundings.

The ruins were stunning in their own broken down way; Stone, greenery and crystal clear pools of water converged on each other made the brunet attracted to the area. However that was not the sole reason why Senri liked the area. Sure, they were quiet and beautiful but they were also similar to him in the manner that they both had lost histories that no one seemed to be able to explain except for pure speculation. And because Senri couldn’t explore his own mind, it had become a personal goal to dig up what he could about the ruins themselves. He’d inadvertently become something of a historian, and slowly, very slowly, like a few others, he was gathering knowledge about the ruins.

Senri padded up a few slightly mossy stairs and up to an arch, pausing for a moment to rest a hand on the old stone.  Cool to the touch because of a light drizzle of rain that had happened earlier, the stone still held it’s shape, but it was slightly weathered and obviously scared with age. He studied it for a moment before moving on as Ōkami nudged his leg and gave a soft demanding bark. He chuckled and smiled down at her before wandering towards their usual place. It was a little room in the ruins. One wall and the roof had collapsed almost entirely, but the three other walls were still mostly standing. Senri had mostly chosen it because it would be an easier place to defend, and there was only really one place that people could enter from, so it wouldn’t be much of a surprise.

Stepping into the room, Senri stooped a little to gently stroke his hand through her soft fur before she moved towards her preferred corner of the room and lay down, watching her boy lazily. Senri arched an eyebrow as he watched her and snorted in amusement. “Lazy.”  He quipped, teasing her slightly, getting an eye roll in return from the wolfdog who simply stretched a bit and settled more. Grinning Senri set down his kit and his bow, and began stretching his body. When he had warmed up enough, Senri folded in on himself backwards, wrapping his arms around his legs, his head positioned between them in a position that not many could say that they could do. Contortion was something that he delighted in training in. It was something that was calming. Something that he had obviously been trained in before, not that he remembered, and he cherished what he had been left with. He hummed, closing his eyes as he held the position for a few moments, knowing that if anything happened Ōkami would alert him to it.

The wound on his side has healed. Weeks of slow movement and constant pain were behind him. Things seemed to be getting better. The wound has left an large vertical scar on his side. It isn't something he is too keen on showing people. Now allowed to roam safely within the country Nasin wanted to head back to the ruins where he was captured by a patrolling squad. In truth knowing he was about to be caught Nasin hid his medical notes within one of the desolate buildings.

The tree's amazed the child of sand. Seeing a real tree that wasn't dried by the desert sun was rare. Seeing more than two nearly impossible. Seeing an entire forest almost made the sand manipulator want to breakdown and cry. It was teeming with life. Stark contrast with the desert. To be fair the desert had life. It was just more hostile, more harden and camouflaged so well only those with keen eyes would be able to track such animals.

Footsteps muffled by soft grass clashed with the chirping of birds. Nasin keeping quiet enjoyed the birds signing. It calmed him. Something about hearing hundreds of birds singing in disharmonious choruses made peace easier to achieve in his troubled mind. The footsteps came to a slow stop. Nasin stared at the ruins. He couldn't remember which crumbling building he hid his notes in. His eyes scanned the area. Nature long ago took over the man made constructs. Claimed it for its own kin. Nature always wants back what man took. Stole is a better word. Nature always wants back what man stole.

After a few minutes of being lost in a philosophy and recollection Nasin's hazy memory became focused. Turning his head toward the direction of the ruined building in question Nasin calmly nodded his head unknowingly as if reassuring himself. It would be a decent walk, before he would reach it. Didn't matter to him.

That notebook was something he started when he first joined the academy. Over the years Nasin has written down many important medical notes within that book. It was when he decided to start traveling is when he decided to revise the book. The book had many pages left untouched. It held mostly work from the past year wandering the countries learning many different styles of medical ninjutsu. It was dear to him and or that exact reason he hid it before he was arrested.

Pausing at the building which he had no doubt was where the notebook was hidden Nasin stared at the ground. The recent rain has left tracks for Nasin to read. A person and a dog. Nasin couldn't tell if the person was male or female or whether it was a dog, a wolf or a large cat. Rubbing his ribs Nasin remembered the pain he had to go through. No mattered. He was more concerned if someone found out about his hidden treasure.

Taking a large breath Nasin walked into the entrance. He paused as he saw a shadowy figure of a canine. The canine barked warning it's owner or companion of his presences. There seemed to be some person on the floor curled up in awkward position. Was he going to have fight some angry corporal demon from defending the ruin? Nasin showing only a bored face spoke to the pair, "Any reason you to are here?" he asked casually. Nasin learned when he was young if you act like you belong somewhere most people believe it, "You do know these are ruins. Which are meant for studying not sleeping." Nasin had no idea if it was true. Didn't care.

Leaning against the entrance Nasin continued staring at the two keeping the calm damn near bored demeanor. In reality the sight of a large canine made him want to attack the beast, but for now playing the part of archaeologist would be more favorable. "If you are not here to study these ruins maybe you should leave? Not trying to sound bossy or anything!" Smiling he slowly waved his hand. It was unlikely he would be caught in his lies. Nasin was gifted with a silver tongue which had been refined with training in the bazaar markets selling snake oil and being trained as a shinobi didn't hurt. Telling lies was his job after all. "Well that's what I'm told anyway!" Nasin didn't want to be anywhere near a blood thirsty dog, but keeping in part kept his calm showing nearly nothing out of the ordinary.

After a long pause the dog did not react nor did the assumed to be owner. Feeling the awkward tension grow Nasin cracked an awkward smile as he slowly side stepped to the corner of the room. The medical journal that he hid was still there and to his relief still in good usable condition. Picking it up he waved at the odd pair as he slowly went back to the entrance to leave.
